A pictorial view through Community based flood preparedness project in Southern Punjab
(This project is supported by ECHO’s Disaster Preparedness Programme (DIPECHO) With the support of ECHO’s Disaster Preparedness Programme (DIPECHO) Oxfam GB is implementing “Community Based Flood Preparedness in Southern Punjab” (CBFPP) to enable local communities in highly vulnerable areas of Southern Punjab to deal with the impact of floods.Using a participatory approach the CBFPP has formed Community based Organizations (CBOs) and implemented various activities, which fall under the following sectors,

Building the resilience of communities to disaster
(Case Studies from DIPECHO Partners in Pakistan): European Commission's Humanitarian Aid department (DIPECHO) started its first Disaster Risk Reduction initiatives for Pakistan in 2006. The implementing partners include Aga Khan Foundation, Islamic Relief, International Rescue Committee (IRC), Mercy Corps and OXFAM GB.This publication is a joint effort of the DIPECHO partners in Pakistan to share the lessons learned and visual depictions from their individual projects
